Automechanika Kuala Lumpur 2026

From 14 to 16 May 2026, the 15th edition of Automechanika Kuala Lumpur will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The event will span six exhibition halls and focus on AI, digitalisation, electrification and new energy solutions across the automotive industry.

The extensive scale of the exhibition reflects the progressive pace of transformation in Malaysia’s automotive sector, fuelled by strong domestic demand and active policies aimed at strengthening supply chains and accelerating technology transfer.

During the first half of 2025, Malaysia became the largest car sales market in ASEAN, with domestic brands accounting for 63 per cent of total volume. A growing vehicle parc, ageing fleets, the expansion of the middle class and the digitalisation of services are driving both the OE and aftermarket segments. As a result, the market structure is evolving, with authorised OEM service centres gaining importance, independent workshops becoming increasingly professionalised, and value-added services and accessories expanding steadily.

The Kuala Lumpur show aims to integrate parts and components manufacturers, electronics and diagnostics suppliers, the service sector, body & paint, detailing specialists and solution providers for commercial vehicles and fleets. A key feature will again be the Automotive Mobility Solutions Zone, focusing on green mobility, advanced manufacturing and digital supply chains, alongside the expanding Automotive Service Marketplace, designed to connect business with hands-on workshop practice and retail channels.

The event will also incorporate autoFEST@KL, a format combining business networking in automotive culture. Backed by a global portfolio of 16 Automechanika events worldwide, the organiser leverages its international network to reinforce Malaysia’s position as a regional hub for automotive investment and technology.
